Holding more in common with the bleeding edge guitar sounds of Grinderman than his usual Parliament-style outings, Sex Party, is founded on riffs - brutal guitar riffs, crazy keys riffs, extraordinary vocal riffs.

Rio, takes on a wild, brass-inflected Carnival abandon, layering Deep Purple like cascading riffs over an unbridled celebration of orgiastic love – a common theme throughout the album.

Bryson’s high-powered vocal chords are stretched to their limits in the
thundering Marijuana, while the kooky Tukitukanawa, materialises from an unnatural mating between the Stones T-Rex.

The hand of producer Christian Pyle is evident in this hyper-produced epic.
