October 2019. A few months before the world would change forever. The day after Bongo Dave’s 50th, I had the studio booked for the band to track Glory B’s fourth album. I told myself, not too many drinks, wanna be sharp for the ‘morrow. Think I listened? Never.

After 12 years we had made the switch to a new producer, a fellow named Nick Edin. It was the third album in row that we tracked live. What happens in the studio gets consigned to the audio history books, forever. With a tight rhythm section of Daniel Brates on drums and Mimmo Panunzio on bass, in an eight-hour recording session we laid down the beds for eight songs.

Prior to mastering, I decided to move my family to Mexico, leaving my beloved band mates back in Melbourne. A city that I once called home.
